Blog Category: No Category Blog Tags: No Tags I am happy to be alive today. No, nothing happened where I escaped death by a hair; I just feel very appreciative for my life and its very essence. The fact that it is now 66 degrees could have something to do with it. I love autumn and cooler weather. It's the beginning of the best part of the year for me, which means everything other than summer. Yesterday I got my gas & electric bill, which included a $6.75 credit for our heatwave in July. Many people had outrageous bills, so the utility decided to give a 15% credit to make them feel better. Ha! Some consolation to those who paid big bucks. My bill this month was $16.11 When I got gas today, 12 days since the last fill-up, the price was down to $2.35 9/10. I have always wondered why they price it with tenths. I think it's dumb. Anyway, $17.33 to fill the tank and I got 24 mpg this time. Last week I had a challenging situation arise, psychologically speaking. Very much in the mundane realm, and related to family, inheritance and money. Sometimes first instincts are the ones to go with, and I certainly had one, but I am not quick at anything. I gave the matter intense thought and analysis, and it was really a matter of choosing sides - neither of which is in my favor. I feel good about my decision, and have told the "winning" party of my alignment with them in the matter. My decision ought to be disarming to the other side, as I did not react in an expected way. And my immediate reaction proved wrong after giving the matter the attention it deserved. | Profile
